Breathwork for Grief Sessions

It’s well known that incorporating emotional breathing techniques and exercises into your everyday routine can help manage the feeling of grief and sadness that follow a bereavement.

Our breathwork for grief sessions are open to anyone and give you an opportunity to learn emotional breathing techniques in a safe and welcoming environment.

Breathing exercises for grief

Our breathwork for grief sessions take place at our Chiswick High Road premises and are run by experienced breathwork exercises teacher, Charlie Polizzi.

Charlie teaches a number of
breathwork for trauma and emotional release techniques including how to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, which is the network of nerves that relaxes your body during periods of stress or danger.

No previous experience is required, but the session is not suitable for anyone who’s had major surgery in the last two years or who is pregnant.

  • “Within a very tight timeframe, we made some difficult requests of them, including asking them to find a venue that would allow fireworks in central London and one with beautiful views of nature. Within a day, they had found us an orangery, set in a park, that was just magical. They picked a wonderful celebrant who led the service with utter grace and delivered an inspiring eulogy. Because Exit Here are so experienced, they thought of all the small details of the kind that you might forget during a difficult time and nothing was ever beyond them. They really are extraordinary. It's rare to find people so committed, so kind and so expert at their job in any field.”

    — Nicki Asquith

  • “I had no experience of using funeral directors but knew from the first conversation that Exit Here was what I wanted. They did everything exactly as we wanted and were kind, compassionate and super efficient. Just what you need at a time like this. Highly recommended.”

    — Maria Doulton

  • “What started out as a daunting and scary process turned into a very natural and seamless one. With their warmth, understanding, compassion and kindness Sam and Oliver listened to what we wanted, but never thought possible, and more than delivered in every way. More importantly, we knew mamma was in good and very caring hands which helped enormously.”

    — Jacqueline & Jason McKay

  • “When our Dad/father-in-law died, Exit Here was recommended by a friend, and we’re so grateful for that. It’s a funeral director like no other. When you enter their premises in Chiswick, the atmosphere is immediately uplifting, not sombre and we quickly learned that nothing was too much trouble. They went to great lengths to ensure that the order of service was just as we wanted it, and the willow casket and flowers they organised were beautiful. On the day of the funeral, Barry allayed all our anxieties and ensured that everything went smoothly. We cannot recommend Exit Here highly enough.”

    — Jonathan and Gill Reding

  • “It's hard to express just how fantastic Exit Here have been to work with over the past few weeks. Both practically and emotionally, they have provided every possible support in helping me put together the most perfect and personal funeral for my dear friend. From the first phone call onward, every interaction gave confidence, reassurance and comfort: there was an immediate sense of being scooped up and looked after, and a relief in having found people who not only knew what needed done, but how to do it with sensitivity, style and sweetness.”
