Sometimes known as Wolves Lane Cemetery, it is now closed for traditional burials although burial vaults are still available. The cemetery does not have a chapel and all services take place at Enfield.

    By car: The cemetery is on Wolves Lane which can be easily reached from the A406 North Circular. There is some paid for street parking alongside the recreation ground.

    By train: The nearest train station is Alexandra Palace on the Great Northern line which is five miles away.

    By Tube: The closest London Underground station is Wood Green on the Piccadilly Line, which is a 16 minute walk away.

    By bus: The W4 bus stops closest to the cemetery.

East Finchley Cemetery
East Finchley Cemetery, formerly known as St Marylebone Cemetery, is located in the London Borough of Barnet but is managed by the City of Westminster. Opened in 1854 on the site of a former farm, the cemetery was designed by architects Barnet and Birch Ltd and the Anglican chapel is Grade ll listed, as are the gates and lodge. The cemetery is a Green Flag winner and also known as an important site for nature conservation. The cemetery is available for burials in reclaimed graves only.

    By car: From the A406 North Circular, turn on to the A504 East End Road. There is parking at the nearby crematorium and some paid parking on the nearby streets.

    By train: New Southgate, operated by Great Northern is the closest railway station and is 12 minute taxi drive away.

    By Tube: West Finchley on the Northern line is the closest station and just a 13 minute walk.

    By bus: The 112, 143 and the 232 buses all stop close to the cemetery.

Islington and St Pancras Cemetery
Although situated in East Finchley in the London Borough of Barnet, Islington and St Pancras Cemetery is actually owned and managed by two other London boroughs: Islington and Camden. Established in 1854, the cemetery was London’s first publicly owned cemetery and one of the Capital’s largest too. The cemetery has several chapels including the St Pancras Anglican chapel, which is Grade ll listed. Vault burials, and traditional and lawn graves are available as well as a woodland burial area.

    By car: The cemetery can be reached by taking the A406 North Circular and then turning on to the High Road. Parking is available throughout the site.

    By train: New Southgate, operated by Great Northern is the closest railway station and is a 30 minute walk or 20 minute bus journey.

    By Tube: The nearest London Underground station is East Finchley on the Northern line which is a 15 minute walk away.

    By bus: The 263 bus stops closest to the cemetery.

Enfield Crematorium and Cemetery
Although situated in the London Borough of Enfield, Enfield Crematorium and Cemetery is managed and operated by the London Borough of Haringey in partnership with Dignity.

Opened in 1938 and covering 50 acres, it’s one of London’s largest crematoria and serves the residents of Crouch End, Wood Green, Tottenham and the surrounding areas. There is a peaceful remembrance garden, a red brick crematorium which is locally listed, as well as two chapels, north and south, which can accommodate 150 people each. 

The crematorium and cemetery serve all faiths.

    By car: From the M25 junction 25, take the A10 Great Cambridge Road. Parking is available for 69 cars in the car park.

    By train: Turkey Street is the closest train station and is on the Overground Line which is a 10 minute walk from the crematorium.

    By Tube: The closest Tube station is Seven Sisters on the Victoria line. Change there for the Overground line to Turkey Street Station.

    By bus: The 217 and 317 buses stop a few minutes’ walk from the entrance.

New Southgate Cemetery and Crematorium
Opened in 1856 in the London Borough of Barnet and sometimes known as Brunswick Park Cemetery, historic New Southgate Cemetery and Crematorium is owned and managed by the Westerleigh Group. Covering 60 acres, the site has tree lined driveways and gardens, and individual burial areas for Greek Orthodox, Roman Catholic and Caribbean communities. The site is laid out in a concentric plan around a restored Gothic chapel, with a 150ft spire, and can seat 100 people with room for more standing.

    By car: From the M25 junction 24, take the A111 Cockfosters Road, then Osidge Lane and then turn on to Brunswick Park Road. There are approximately 60 allocated parking spaces, although more parking is available within the grounds.

    By train: New Southgate railway station managed by Great Northern, is a 25 minute walk or five minutes by taxi.

    By Tube: The closest Tube station is Arnos Grove on the Piccadilly line is a 25 minute walk, or a five minute journey by taxi. There is a taxi rank opposite the station.

    By bus: Bus number 382 passes the main gate, while buses 34,184, 232 and 251 all run to nearby Betstyle Circus a few minutes’ walk away.

St Marylebone Crematorium
Opened in 1937 as part of East Finchley Cemetery in the London Borough of Barnet, the crematorium is managed by the London Cremation Company and is known for its two columbaria, which offer sealed and open niches for the deposit of ashes and urns. The chapel can accommodate 148 people seated and 20 standing, while another 30 people can use the foyer which is equipped with speakers. The crematorium is multi faith.

    By bus: The 611 and the 232 buses stop close to the crematorium.

Golders Green Crematorium
Located to the east of Golders Green and to the north of Hampstead in the London Borough of Barnet, Golders Green Crematorium was the first crematorium to be opened in London in 1902 and is managed by the London Cremation Company. It serves all faiths. The crematorium is a red brick building built in the Lombardic style, and there are two cremation chapels. The West Chapel seats 140 and the East Chapel seats 45. There is also a Chapel of Memory which is open for quiet contemplation, as well as three columbaria containing the ashes of thousands of Londoners and residents of neighbouring counties. There is also a Grade ll listed mausoleum.

    By car: There is limited parking for 36 cars at the West Chapel and 12 at the East Chapel. There is some paid for parking on the nearby streets.

    By train: Cricklewood train station on the Midland mainline is one of the closest stations and is a 10 minute taxi ride.

    By Tube: The closest London Underground station is Golders Green on the Northern line which is a 10 minute walk to the crematorium.

    By bus: The 65, E3 and H91 buses all stop close to the crematorium.
